Services & Offerings

Regularly Scheduled Worship

  1. Holy Eucharist on Sundays @ 10:30 a.m.
  2. Holy Eucharist is offered on major feasts falling on weekdays (feasts of Apostles and Evangelists, Conception of the BVM, Holy Name, Epiphany, Confession of St. Peter, Conversion of St. Paul, Presentation, St. Joseph, Annunciation, Visitation, Ascension, Nativity of St. John the Baptist, St. Mary Magdalene, Transfiguration, St. Mary the Virgin (Ascension), Holy Cross Day, St. Michael and all Angels (Michaelmas), All Saints, All Souls, Holy Inncocents).  The time of service is 8:00 a.m., unless otherwise announced.

Nursery is available for 0-2 year olds beginning @ 9:00 a.m.   During Sunday morning worship, nursery is available for 0- 5 year olds.  Older children are encouraged to attend worship with their families. 

 

Christian Education & Formation

(Offered from the Sunday after Labor Day through May)

  1. Children’s Chapel @ 9:00 a.m.
  2. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Level I (ages 3-5) @ 9:15 a.m.
  3. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Level II (grades 1-3) @ 9:15 a.m.
  4. The "Really Cool, You Ought to be in Sunday School" class (grades 4-6) @ 9:15 a.m.
  5. Adult Bible Study @ 9:15 a.m.
  6. Rector’s Forum @ 9:15 a.m. (last Sunday of the month)
  7. Episcopal Young Churchpersons (EYC) for grades 7-12 meets twice per month as scheduled
  8. ECW meets on the 2nd Monday of the month several times during the school year.

 

Seasonal Offerings & Events

  1. Summer Vacation Bible School (TBA)
  2. Blessing of the Animals (TBA – near the feast day of Francis of Assisi in October)
  3. Christmas Eve Services: 5:00 p.m. Family Service & 11:00 p.m. "Midnight Mass"
  4. Christmas Pageant:  (TBA) Rehearsals during Christmas Break
  5. Ash Wednesday liturgy and Holy Eucharist @ 12:10 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.
  6. Lenten Evening Prayer Series and Suppers (TBA)
  7. Holy Week services: Maundy Thursday Holy Eucharist @ 6:00 p.m. & Good Friday liturgy @ 12:10 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.
  8. Easter Sunday morning "Flowering of the Cross" and Easter Egg Hunt with the children

Other Organizations

 

The following community organizations use the Parish Hall for meetings:

 

  • Alcoholics Anonymous has several meetings during the week. Please call the church office at 662-494-1378 for more information.
  • Project Homestead, a grassroots 501-3C organization dedicated to helping children and families in Clay County, meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 8:30 am in the Parish Hall
